Hi, I’m Jermaine — the candle maker behind NKY Chic Candle Co., a Houston-based home fragrance studio blending New York soul with Southern warmth.
When my wife Jessica and I moved from the fast-paced streets of NYC to Houston in 2018, I found myself missing the smells and spirit of the city I’d always called home. That longing sparked an idea — to bottle up the essence of New York’s iconic neighborhoods and infuse it with the inviting charm of Texas.
With Jessica’s eye for design and my obsession with scent, we started hand-pouring soy candles that capture not just fragrance, but feeling. Each candle reflects a memory, a mood, or a moment from the places we love — and every jar is a small reminder that home is wherever your story begins.
